For The Coral™ Lionfish Bracelet

Description

This unique, handmade lionfish bracelet features carefully preserved and ethically sourced lionfish fin fragments sealed between layers of crystal-clear resin. Each bracelet is one-of-a-kind: the delicate fan‑shaped fins form elegant, semi‑translucent fins that shimmer with natural red-and-white striping. The band is adjustable to your wrist size with nylon paracord. Every purchase supports For The Coral™ research and conservation efforts.

Why lionfish fins?
By transforming invasive lionfish fins into wearable art, each bracelet symbolizes the fight against one of the Caribbean’s most destructive invaders.

Lionfish prey on dozens of species: crustaceans, shrimp, juvenile grouper, snapper, parrotfish, and more. Many of those species serve as algae grazers, essential for coral health. The loss of these herbivores leads to unchecked algae growth, smothering corals and blocking sunlight required for photosynthesis and reef vitality.

As native fish decline, reef biodiversity shrinks. For iconic ecosystems like the Belize Barrier Reef (a UNESCO World Heritage site), scientists estimate that coral cover across Belize has dropped by over 40% since 1998, with invasive lionfish contributing to ongoing degradation.
